Strong Start and Impressive Finish Clarissa Garcia maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2025 Boulderthon Half Marathon, completing the race with an elapsed time of 1:44:14 and an average pace of 7:57 min/mile. Notable was her initial strong start with each of the first two miles clocking in at a solid 7:53 min/mile. By mile 5, her ranking improved significantly, moving from 197th in the female category to 110th, primarily due to a swift 7:53 split time. The second half of the race highlighted her ability to regain pace, especially noticeable in the last two splits at 7:29 and 7:36 min/mile, respectively. This surge in the latter stages of the race contributed to her 37th place in the F25-29 division out of a strong field. Strategically, a more gradual pace adjustment around mile 6, where she recorded a split pace of 9:02 min/mile, could potentially prevent rank fluctuation in longer races.
