Consistent Start with Opportunities for Pacing Adjustments Damien Mckeown demonstrated consistency in the early stages of his half marathon at the 2025 Boulderthon. Maintaining a steady pace of 7:47 min/mile for the first two miles, he secured the 10th position in his age division category, M50-54. By mile three, the pace shifted slightly to 8:02 min/mile, dropping one place in the division, yet reflecting solid pacing early in the race. As the race progressed, there was a noticeable pace variation, especially around mile five with an 8:45 min/mile, where the division position moved to 15th. Despite this fluctuation, Damien managed a strong finish with a final elapsed time of 1:51:58, averaging an 8:32 min/mile pace throughout the race. Concluding 15th in the M50-54 division out of numerous competitors, consistent training, especially for mid-race pacing, could be beneficial for future improvements.
