Consistent Pacing with a Strong Mid-Race Surge Byron Brown maintained a consistent pace during the 2025 Boulderthon Half Marathon, showing particular strength in several splits. Starting with a 9:14 min/mile pace, he improved slightly, hitting a swift 8:46 min/mile pace during mile 8. Of note is the impressive surge in mile 9, where Byron achieved a 6:46 min/mile split. Overall, Byron achieved an average pace of 8:50 min/mile and finished the race in 1:55:48. Despite some variable splits, notably the slower 10:52 min/mile pace at mile 10, Byron quickly adjusted and completed the subsequent miles back within his target range. Ending strongly, he finished 1281st overall out of 6546 participants. Focusing on maintaining that burst of speed from mile 9 across other segments can be beneficial.
