Consistent Strides with Room for Precision Kristen's performance at the 2025 Boulderthon displayed several strong metrics. She completed the half marathon in 1:43:23 with an average pace of 7:53 min/mile. Her early splits were particularly noteworthy, especially the surge from mile one to two, improving her pace from 7:39 to 7:15 min/mile. Post-setback at mile three, where her pace unfortunately dipped to 21:41 min/mile, she demonstrated resilience by swiftly accelerating and stabilizing her pace around the 7:50-8:00 min/mile range for the remainder of the race. Encouragingly, Kristen managed to maintain a consistent pace in the later miles, with a slight dip to a solid 7:35 min/mile at mile thirteen. Her placement of 506th overall and 135th among female runners out of 6,546 participants reflects a commendable effort. Strengthening the transition across all splits, particularly avoiding any extreme pace reductions, would lead to even better results in future races.
