Steady Start, Slower Finish Justas began the 2025 Boulderthon with a strong initial pace, completing the first mile at 7:26 min/mile, securing 119th place overall. His pace remained steady in the early stages, with split times between 7:24 and 7:30 min/mile for the first three miles. However, starting from mile six, there was a gradual slowdown, evident by split paces exceeding the 8-minute mark. By mile 10, the cumulative elapsed time had reached 1:19:55, with placement sliding to 249th overall. From mile 19 forward, the pace dropped significantly, reaching a peak split time of 11:51 in mile 22, ultimately concluding the race with an overall time of 4:05:53. Notably, there was a decrease compared to previous performances, adding nearly 40 minutes from last year's Boulderthon race time of 3:36:13. Focusing on sustaining pace throughout the mid and latter stages of races might aid in future time improvements.
