Consistent Pace with Strategic Surges RJ Roberts maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2025 Boulderthon Marathon, finishing with an overall time of 4:08:49 and an average pace of 9:29 per mile. His performance was characterized by a number of strategic pace fluctuations, notably accelerating significantly during the 5th mile with a split pace of 5:46, which improved his ranking to 435th in his gender category at that point. By mile 9, he sustained strong form by achieving an impressive mile pace of 8:25. RJ demonstrated perseverance, particularly in the later stages. His ranking improved significantly as he finished 59th in the M35-39 division out of a total of 2678 participants. Notably, his position improved from the 1301st overall at the 4-mile mark back to 585th by the finish. Tailoring efforts to reduce the slower split times, such as in mile 4 or 21, could tighten overall consistency and potentially enhance placements in future races.
