Steady and Strong with Late Challenges L. C. Crowley maintained a solid pace in the first half of the 2025 Boulderthon marathon, with the splits mostly within the 8:30-8:50 minute per mile range. Notably, he achieved his fastest mile at mile 12, clocking in at 8:02 min/mile. His performance to this point was consistent, allowing him to attain an early advantageous division placement, peaking at 7th in the men's 45-49 division at mile 5. In the latter half of the race, Crowley encountered some difficulty maintaining the earlier pace. Miles 20 through 26.2 saw an evident slowdown, with the pace increasing to over 10 minutes per mile by mile 23, culminating with a final pace of 9:41 min/mile. Finishing the marathon in 4:13:47, Crowley showed resilience despite the late race challenges. A focus on maintaining pace endurance in future training could be beneficial to close out strongly.
