Consistency with Room for Finishing Push Derek maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2025 Boulderthon, completing the marathon in a total time of 4:20:42 with an average pace of 9:57 min/mile. Throughout the race, Dereks pace primarily fluctuated within a range of 8:33 to 13:59 min/mile, indicating an overall consistent performance apart from notable slowdowns during miles 23 and 24, where paces dropped to 13:59 and 13:23 min/mile, respectively. His strongest mile was mile 12, completed in 8:33 min/mile. Despite slow splits in the latter miles, Derek still achieved an admirable overall position of 774 out of 2678 participants.
