Strong Start, Challenging Finish Aaron began his marathon with a solid pace, kicking off with a 7:14 minute mile. His initial performance saw an encouraging rank of 98th overall, and he maintained a reasonable pace within the first 10 miles, consistently working within an 8-minute mile range. At mile 5, he showed resilience by regaining some position in his division, moving up to 27th in his age group, M25-29. As the race progressed, maintaining early momentum proved difficult. From mile 14 onwards, a shift in pace appeared, with splits slowing consistently into the low 10 to 11-minute range. This pattern led to a 167th place finish in his division. Focusing on long distances and endurance could enhance Aaron's race experience. Incorporating more variety in training, such as interval and long runs at race pace, could aid in sustaining speed throughout the latter stages of similar future events.
