Steady Start, Challenging Finish Barak Assis of the Denver Dawgs started strong at the 2025 Boulderthon marathon, maintaining a steady pace in the first half of the race. He began with a consistent pace around 8:30 to 8:40 min/mile, reaching the 10-mile mark with an elapsed time of 1:27:36. During this segment, he placed as high as 51st within his M25-29 division, showcasing a solid strategy and endurance. While Barak maintained a solid pace initially, the race became more challenging as it progressed. His overall elapsed pace was 11:17 min/mile by the race's end, with split times lengthening after mile 16, where he finished the 26.2-mile marathon at 4:55:57. Although he finished 1327th overall, focusing on sustaining the earlier pace or managing the pace drop-off in the later miles could enhance future performance.
