Consistent Performance with a Strong Mid-Race Surge Brandon maintained a consistent pace throughout the marathon, showcasing impressive endurance and control over the 26.2 miles. He started with an 8:02 min/mile pace for the first three miles, and then showed a notable increase in speed, achieving a sub 8-minute pace on multiple occasions. Mile 5, with a split pace of 7:35 min/mile, was a standout, demonstrating his capability to push and make significant time gains. Mid-race, his pacing stabilized around 7:54 min/mile from miles 6 to 10. The final miles displayed slight deceleration with some splits above 8 minutes, but a commendable effort was maintained until the finish. Brandon concluded the marathon with a total time of 3:29:31, placing him 17th in the M35-39 division out of a total field of 2678 participants.
