Consistent Splits Lead to Strong Division Finish Kip Hoffman demonstrated impressive consistency in his marathon performance, maintaining a steady pace throughout the race. Beginning with an initial split pace of 7:47 min/mile, Kip managed to sustain a pace that varied only slightly up to mile 12, where he achieved his fastest individual mile split at 7:08 min/mile. By mile 15, his overall pace had quickened to 7:41 min/mile, indicating a strong middle section. In the second half, Kip maintained a solid performance despite facing some slower miles towards the end, including an 11:01 min/mile at mile 24. This split had an impact on his average pace, which finished at 8:13 min/mile.
