Sub-4 with steady midrace and learnings late Finished 3:58:32 for 26.2 (9:06/mi). Early rhythm: 8:538:41 for miles 12. Miles 715 ranged 8:399:22; fastest mile 8:21 (12) and 8:33 (19). Final 10K 9:21 to 9:57; through 20, splits were near 9:009:10. Coaching notes: Aim to smooth the last 10K by practicing long runs that include 812 miles at 8:559:05 plus 36 mile fast finishes at 8:458:55. Add sustained marathonpace segments after moderate fatigue. Half (1:56:39, 8:54/mi) vs marathon (+12 sec/mi); closing that gap would reduce overall time.
