Consistent Pace with Strong Middle Splits Patrick maintained a steady pace through many parts of the marathon, particularly showing consistency in the first three miles, all under nine minutes per mile. The fifth mile saw an impressive split time of 5:25 and an advancement to 384th place overall. It seems mile four was particularly slower at 12:44 per mile which impacted positioning negatively, dropping Patrick to 938th place overall. However, Patrick quickly recovered during subsequent miles. Ending the race with a total elapsed time of 3:59:06, Patrick achieved a finishing pace of 9:07 minutes per mile and placed well within the top half of participants for each category. His performance in the Miles 19 and 20 segments was notable with sub-nine-minute paces, allowing a climb to higher ranks. Working on maintaining a more consistent pace through the later miles could result in an even stronger overall performance in future events.
