Strong Start, Consistent Effort Rachel Burton, 34, from Westminster, CO, demonstrated a strong performance at the 2025 Boulderthon Marathon. She completed the race with an elapsed time of 3:48:08, maintaining an average pace of 8:42 per mile over the full 26.2 miles. Notably, she held the top position in her F30-34 age division for several early splits, with a leading split pace of 7:22 per mile appearing as early as the second mile. Despite a slight pace decrease in the latter half of the race, where some of the latter mile splits slowed to over 10 minutes per mile, Rachel still finished 301st overall out of 2678 total participants. Within her gender, she placed 47th, and in her division, she secured the 8th position. Maintaining an earlier pace throughout her first 10 miles could be an area to build on in future races by focusing on endurance training to sustain pace in longer distances.
