Strong Early Splits but Challenging Finish Erika Eggert started her marathon with commendable pacing, especially in the first half. Notable performances include Mile 5 with an impressive split of 8:25 min/mile, boosting her overall position significantly, and maintaining an overall pace under 9:00 min/mile for the first 12 miles. Her strongest performance was observed as she climbed the ranks, moving from 668th to 345th by Mile 5. In the latter part of the race, a noticeable decline in pace started from Mile 17, where pacing fell to 9:27 min/mile and further declined in Mile 20 at 11:51 min/mile.
