Strong Start, Consistent Pace Monica began the 2025 Boulderthon Marathon with an impressive 6:39 min/mile pace, securing an early strong placement as 4th in her gender and division by the first mile. Her first mile was notably her fastest split, and she maintained a solid position within the top 10 for her gender throughout the race. Monica demonstrated admirable consistency, averaging around a 7:00 min/mile pace through the halfway point. In the later miles, particularly from mile 17 onwards, her split times began to increase, reaching an 8:19 min/mile by miles 25 and 26. This shift highlights that there may be an opportunity to focus on endurance for the latter part of the race. Her overall time was 3:16:56, placing her 9th in her gender out of 2678 total participants. Monica performed admirably, showing potential to improve her pacing strategy in future races.
