Consistent Start, Challenging Finish Eric Selhorn's performance at the 2025 Boulderthon Marathon started off with a consistent pace, maintaining around 8:12 to 8:20 minutes per mile for the initial 8 miles. Notably, mile 5 marked a highlight with a Split Time of 8:07, rising to an impressive overall place of 197. However, it was observed the pace began to dip slightly from mile 9, where a 9:46 minute pace initiated a gradual slowdown, reaching a slower pace in the later miles. The latter half of the race saw challenges, particularly between miles 21 and 23, where Split Times extended to 14:38 and further to 17:33. Ultimately, Eric finished with an overall time of 4:26:40, placing 36th in the M40-44 division among 2678 participants. For future races, focusing on endurance in the later miles might help in maintaining a steadier pace.
