Strong Start, Tough Finish Peter Bruell from Dillon, CO, had a solid performance at the 2025 Breckenridge Road Marathon. His early splits demonstrated strong pacing, gradually improving and maintaining a pace under 8:30 min/mile during the first half, reaching his fastest mile at 7:47 min/mile. Peter impressively moved up in the rankings, securing the top overall position by the 16th mile, which highlights an effective early race strategy. However, after maintaining his lead from miles 14 to 19, Peters pace slowed noticeably in the latter stages, with mile 20 at 31:10 min/mile. This led to him finishing 22nd overall with a total time of 4:34:02, and a final pace averaging 10:27 min/mile. While his early performance was exceptional, he may want to work on endurance and pacing strategy to maintain that strength throughout the entire race distance.
