Strong Start, Consistent Finish for Marathon Debut Saeed Sams maintained a steady pace in the early miles of the 2025 Breckenridge Road Marathon, hitting mile 1 at 8:47 min/mile and completing the first 5 miles with an elapsed pace around 9:00 min/mile. He showed consistency in his pacing through mile 5, placing 5th in his division consistently until mile 10. Over the halfway point, he maintained a pace near 9:38 min/mile, slightly adjusting as he approached mile 13. As the race progressed, Saeed displayed resilience, finishing with an overall marathon pace of 10:48 min/mile, securing 5th in the M20-29 division out of 88 total participants. His accommodating pace from mile 13 onwards showed strategic control, maintaining top 5 positions in his division up to the finish line. Future improvement in the latter stages can focus on minimizing the split variation after mile 20, as splits increased incrementally, peaking at 13:47 min/mile during mile 24. Excellent first marathon effort with promising potential for future races!
