Strong Finish with Consistent Mid-Race Improvement Samson Summerlin completed the 2025 Breckenridge Road Marathon in 4:28:07 with an average pace of 10:14 min/mile. Out of 88 participants, he secured an impressive 19th place overall, 12th in the men's category, and 4th in the M30-39 age division. Noteworthy parts of his performance include a significant mid-race acceleration, notably from mile 11 to 15, where he consistently improved his split times, reaching a peak pace at mile 11 with 8:23 min/mile. His consistency in maintaining an efficient pace from mile 8 to mile 24, between 9:46 and 10:12 min/mile, demonstrates excellent stamina and pacing strategy. Although he experienced a slowdown in the final miles, especially at mile 26 with a split of 12:49, Samson's overall performance was commendable. To further enhance his marathon performance, focusing on maintaining momentum in the last 2-3 miles could provide a boost in future races. Great job on an exceptional marathon effort!
