Consistent Pace Leads to Strong Finish Tara Higbee completed the 60K race at the 2025 Vacation Races | Bryce Canyon Ultras with an elapsed time of 8:41:39, covering a distance of 36.6 miles. Her overall pace was 14:15 min/mile, placing her 24th out of 151 total participants and 11th in the female category. Tara's initial splits were notably quick, with her first mile clocked at 12:27 min/mile, pushing her to 19th place in gender at that split. Throughout the course, she maintained a steady rate, with notable pacing at Mile 8 (10:25 min/mile) and Mile 12 (11:04 min/mile). Despite a slower pace during the "Hillsdale" segment (16:10 min/mile), she regained her stride towards the end, completing the final two-mile segment in 13:28 min/mile.
