Strong Second Half Performance Secures Top Finish Chris Hansler delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Vacation Races | Bryce Canyon Ultras 50K event, covering 32.24 miles in a commendable time of 6:36:01, with an average pace of 12:17 min/mile. Chris secured 3rd place overall out of 140 participants, and notably finished 2nd in both his gender and division categories. Consistency was key as he maintained strong placements across various segments of the race. The race splits reveal strategic pacing throughout. Chris launched strongly with a 9:24 min/mile for the first mile, positioning first in early stages. Despite slowing in sections, such as Hillsdale with a split pace of 14:36, he finished strong. Notably, the final two splits showed remarkable improvement, achieving paces of 8:49 and 8:36 min/mile. This closing speed is particularly impressive. Going forward, examining mid-race pacing strategies could further enhance performance consistency. Excellent work overall, Chris!
