Strong Finish with Consistent Pace Dylan Valdez participated in the 2025 Vacation Races | Bryce Canyon Ultras 60K, covering 36.6 miles with an impressive elapsed time of 7:04:15. His overall pace of 11:35 min/mile secured him a remarkable fourth place in both the overall and gender categories. Noteworthy was his strong performance from mile 30.58 at Hillsdale onward, where he held his fourth place, demonstrating tenacity with a consistent pace, particularly in the last segments. Throughout the race, Dylan showed remarkable endurance and pacing, especially from mile 8 to 20.95 where he consistently maintained sub-10-minute mile paces. These included his best split pace of 8:09 at mile 34.6. During the earlier parts of the race, he steadily climbed in position from 30th overall at the start to 8th by East Fork. His ability to maintain and eventually quicken his pace towards the finish was crucial in securing his position, indicating excellent strategic racing. Dylan might benefit from maintaining his momentum during middle sections, optimizing overall time.
