Consistent Strong Start with Room for Finish Improvements Flavio Jaso had a promising start at the Bryce Canyon 60K with his first mile completed in an impressive 9:42, placing first overall. Maintaining a strong pace through the early miles, he clocked 8:41 at Mile 8 and 8:35 at Mile 12. These early efforts saw him ranking consistently within the top six positions overall in his gender category. His performance began to shift during the latter stages, notably from Hillsdale onwards, where his pace increased to 14:30 per mile, then 17:26 within the Monster Mash section. Flavio eventually completed the 36.6-mile race with a time of 7:26:38 and an overall pace of 12:12. Gaining insights from his peak paces could serve as a benefit. By channeling energy conservation strategies and pacing approaches into later stages, sustaining early momentum becomes feasible.
