Consistent Start Leads to Strong Performance Dustin Allen's performance at the 2025 Bryce Canyon Ultras 60K was marked by a consistent pace and strategic racing. Beginning the race with an impressive 9:45 min/mile pace in the first mile, he quickly positioned himself among the leaders, holding 2nd place overall initially. In the following Proctor Canyon segment, his pace was a solid 10:12 min/mile, maintaining his early momentum and holding his gender position at 4th place. Dustin showed strong endurance across multiple segments, sustaining a sub-10-minute pace up to mile 12. Noteworthy was his 8:56 min/mile pace during the mile 12 stretch, displaying impressive speed mid-race. In the latter parts of the race, despite slowing down, Dustin managed to hold a consistent pace relative to the field, culminating in a final elapsed pace of 12:24 min/mile and securing 9th place overall. For future races, consider strategies to maintain a faster pace during longer segments, such as Hillsdale, to further improve standings.
