Dear Race Participants,
Welcome to REVEL Big Cottonwood. For the last part of your run you will be traversing through our fair city of Cottonwood Heights. We are pleased to have you here and hope you set a new personal best in this event. We have done all we can to make that possible by providing a “slight” downhill slope to the course and beautiful surroundings to keep your mind off the stress of the long run. We are proud of our beautiful community and hope you will enjoy your time here. We are also proud to be a host of this excellent event.
Our slogan is the “City Between the Canyons.” The beauty of Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons and the winter amenities of our great ski resorts are major attractions that bring visitors from all
around the world. This race event is another opportunity for us to show off the natural beauty of the area and the friendliness of our residents. Our citizens never take for granted the beauty that
surrounds them and the amenities they are afforded living in this great community.
Cottonwood Heights was formed as a city in January 2005. We have a population of approximately 33,000 residents and boast not only of highly desirable residential areas, but also more class-A office space than any other city in Utah except the capital
of Salt Lake City. We are not only the gateway to the beautiful Cottonwood Canyons, but we are home to many exciting businesses such as Jet Blue, Overstock.com, ViaWest, Instructure, Fusion IO, and many more. Cottonwood Heights prides itself on being a progressive city that has much to offer both citizens and
